In the beater CRT setup in my basement ("beater" as in used mostly for playing video games, not for watching porn) I have a Xbox 360, PS3, and HD-A2, all which output 720p component video to my D50. I was thinking of switching to HDMI and getting a HDfury. I'm not sure I'd see much difference in the quality of the video when my D50 is only resolving maybe 500p. Though upscaling DVDs by using HDMI would be nice. Does anyone think there would be a noticeable difference in picture quality between component video and HDMI, running on a D50?

Your colors would be more vibrant and saturated. If you do decide to get one, make sure you get the power supply. Sometimes the HD-A2 doens't put out enough power to feed the 'Fury.
