which would you get for 9500lc setup? lumagen HDP or VP50

I had my Blu ray player outputing 1080i and had the lumagen deinterlace it to 1080p. But now that I have the HDMI card it outputs 1080p right from the player, just a minor convergence is all that was needed and lowering the contrast and brightness.

I am wondering why not output 1080P/24(for film) to the lumagen? Deinterlacing is very complicated. IMO, it is meanless to convert a film material to interlace output, and then convert it to progressive by a VP.
