Help with ceiling mounting 6pg xtra

Not the mount.

The PJ's base plate does though.

And when you ceiling mount the PJs you should leave at least 12" of clearance from the base of the PJ to the ceiling.

Hhhmmmm. I see what you are referring to now.

As for the base being 12" from the ceiling, WOW! Shocked That's a lot of space. The nec manual shows almost zero clearance; only the height/depth of the mounting assembly.

Really? That would not be too practical considering that most of us have 8' ceilings or there about. The projector is probably 12" deep and then another 12" of ceiling clearance, the factory mount or even just Unistrut would take another inch or two. Pretty soon you are bumping your head into the projector even if you are only of average height. I'm sure that the more clearance the better regarding air flow but that would not work in my room.

I'm not sure but I think those are M8 x 1.25, very close to 5/16-18
