It is with great sadness that I announce that forum member Alan "Moose" Halvorson died in is his hometown of Minnesota on April 11, 2008. Our condolences go out to all of his friends and family.

I received this private message from his nephew this morning:

Kal,

I am the nephew of user "Moose", who's real name is Alan Halvorson. On April 10th, Alan collapsed while walking his dog Moose. He never regained consciousness and died on April 11th. We had his funeral in his (and my) hometown yesterday.

I wanted to let you know, he seemed to be someone of a regular poster on this board and I know that CRT projectors were his passion. I am not sure if you want to mention this anywhere on the board or not, that is your choice.

I would prefer any further communication via email, I can be reached at <email address removed>

Regards,

Jeff Halvorson
nephew to Alan "Moose" Halvorson

Sorry for your loss Jeff. Alan was a regular here and he will be missed.

Kal

Thanks for all of the replies, I will pass them on to the rest of the family.

Alan and I always enjoyed talking HT and through the years I have been lucky enough to get first dibs at buying some of his "old" stuff. I am still running a 5.1 system with Velodyne DF-661's and a Sunfire TruSubwoofer that were Alan's.

I'll be posting more later.

Jeff
