I hoisted my G70 from floor to ceiling, without help, in about 15 minutes using a chain lift. Getting it into the ceiling mount took another 10-15 minutes of straining and cussing but overall it wasn't too terrible. But it goes a LOT easier with help...

Mike, I'm 6'3" (190cm) and a buddy of mine is about the same. We were stand on my riser and the G70 was on a stand right below the mount - at about waist height. We just dead lifted it up from waist high to head height. It got a little heavy right before we hung it on the bolts - I only had a few seconds left, but fortunately it went right into place. I called all over and couldn't find a small GenieLift, or I would have done that.
The G70 does have handles on all four sides, so you could put four guys on it and it would be cake to lift it up by hand.
I snapped a couple pics of the mount before I tightened it up - I'll post here.
Ohhhh... The picture. Mike, you're going to love it. Even with the unresolved issues, the picture just SMOKES the 1271. It's not even in the same ballpark. It's exactly what I wanted - more resolution and sharpness, but still a film-like image. Boy oh boy, is it a film-like image. I just hope I can work out the kinks.

Here's a couple of pics of my mostly hand-fabbed mount before I cranked up the bolts to raise the projector up by turning the nuts at the top of the apparatus. Total time turning nuts one-by-one with a ratchet open-end was maybe 20 minutes.
It's all 1.5" square-tube mild steel, .375" all-thread, and grade 5 nuts and cap screws. The factory mount plate (THANKS RAY!!!) hangs on the cap screws attached to my horizontals. The two pieces the projector hangs on got rusty sitting out in the garage over the winter. Kinda ugly - wish I would have painted them. Oh well, nobody will ever see them after these pics.
You can see the 2"x12" duct register at the back of this photo:
Connection details and factory mount plate: All-thread is a little deformed because the right side is high.
