Depends on your screen size and viewing distance. I can tell you that with my minty G70 at 1.2-1.3x screen-widths from my 8'-wide screen, 1080i scan lines are pretty obnoxious. I'm sure that machine is even sharper, so if your viewing distance/screen size relationship is even close to mine, 1080i probably won't cut it.
Come on, spill the beans... what'd you pick this bad boy up for?
Congrats on your new acquisition!

LPB03's are identical to the P19LUG high performance tubes with the exception that the LUG's have a KH grid or Grid 3 which come out on pin 7. This grid isn't that important (picks up electron scatter) so the LPB03's will perform almost identical to a LUG.
I'd doubt the lens's are Hqf 900's but are more than likely one of the late model varients of the lens's Barco uses.

I've looked at the lenses sticky thread and they look like either hd-10's or hqf-900's. How do I tell them apart?

Due to the shape of my room I'm stuck with a small screen. The one I have is only 72" wide and I have room for 86" max width without moving some plumbing. If I move a vent pipe I can get up to 96" wide.

Wow... some of that stuff is too expensive for me. I'm on a low budget and only got this PJ because it was SO cheap. I'll be sticking with low dollar stuff, my ex and 3 kids get most of my money. My existing screen is pretty small, I think 1080i will be okay for a while.

How does that iris camera work and what exactly does it do? Does it do the convergence and keep it tuned up or?

Those cameras wont do very good job with geometry and convergence. There was some Iris menu (in installation menu I think), then it flash few minutes some grids and outcome sucks. So I removed camera and Iris2 board from my 808s, unused decoder board had same destiny.
1209s lenses are usually HD120, those should be rebadged HD10GT17.

My screen is 72" wide and the seating is between 18 & 22 ft from the screen.

I know it's a long way from the screen, but most of the harem prefers that distance.
