My seating consists of two couches across the back and pillows to sit on in front of that... Low Budget. I could lift the couches by stacking my old projectors underneath...

Which remote do I need for this? Are the Barco remotes the same? I see a bunch of different ones on ebay.

I use subwoofers.
I'm not sure if all Barco remotes are the same, but if you get one and it doesn't work, you might have to reset it to 'address zero' or something; I had to do that to get mine working. I don't know if it's the same for a (1209?) vs. an 808s. If you'd like, I'll trade you my 808s *plus remote* for yours without one. Sometimes, you know, remotes can cost more than the projector...

I'm not finding much information about the auto convergence feature on this. Does it work well or will I be better off doing it myself?

Do it yourself. All auto convergence are for convenience only, not for performance.
Note that a lot of learning remotes will not learn the Barco codes, I have some that do though. $60 plus shipping for a remote with the Barco codes programmed into it if you need one.

Kal said you had the remote that I needed, I'll have to see if one of mine will work first... I have so many remotes around here it's scary. Boxes full of 'em....

What's up at AVS? Seems really slow over there. Like there's nobody there.

Is there any reason for me to keep the PC-1271 switcher or the Extron 8 switcher to use with this PJ? I can't think of any.... I'm open to ideas.
