I have a barco data 800 that was working fine 10 years ago. I let it sit for 10 years and tried to turn it on and it was dead.
Found a couple blown fuses in the SMPT board, replaced those and now the fans come on and all of the yellow SMPT leds start blinking (a couple are pretty faint) but the red Scan fail led does not come on.
I know this thing is getting pretty old (although 10 years ago it was working great), so wondering if it is worth trying to get it back working or to go in a new direction...

You probably have a shorted capacitor in the on the SMPS or on one of the modules. I've gotten rid of all 800 parts years ago due to no demand, but if you can do board level troubleshooting, feel free to dive.

Thanks. Sounds like I should upgrade to a more modern CRT projector.
