Of course, if you do not own a device that can play Blu-ray movies then you are not wanted here.

The Simpsons Movie. "Spider Pig, Spider Pig... Does whatever a Spider Pig does..." Hilarious.
Oh, and a few new trailers I downloaded from Apple.com and moved over to the PS3. I love my PS3.

Yep - mostly 1080p, sometimes the 720p files because they're smaller and still look great.
The Apple trailers are all MPEG-4-compliant AVC video and AAC audio streams wrapped in the QuickTime .mov container. You need QuickTime Pro ($30, but it's handy for other stuff, too) or another tool to extract the streams and wrap them back up in the mp4 container.
Once the .mov file is downloaded and ready to play in Movie Player, then:
1. Go to File -> Export.
2. Select "Movie to MPEG-4" from the "Export" popup.
3. In the Export Settings dialog, Video tab, make sure File Format is MP4 (and not MP4 ISMA)
4. Select "Pass through" from the Video format popup.
5. Click the Audio tab, again select "Pass through"
6. Select OK, name the file and Save.
Once it's all set, QuickTime Player will just keep those export settings as default. Throw them on a thumb drive, hard drive, or stream them, and watch some nice looking trailers!
Oh, and I used to think you had to put photo and videos in a special directory on a thumb drive or hard drive to see them at all, but found out if you press the triangle key while you're hovering over the storage device (ie, before you press the X button to select it), you have the option of listing all files. There is a naming convention for directories so it will automatically show the correct media in the folders - but I don't remember what the names are.

There may be a free alternative, although I must admit I have not tried this yet. I found this on the other site and I'm just passing it along.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
If you install QuickTime Alternative and the select the browser plugin then when you click on an HD trailer link it will give you the option to download it instead of watching it.

Being .MOV files though they won't play without a bit of modding
Enter YAMB. http://yamb.unite-video.com/
Load the .MOV file and in a few seconds you can change the container to a PS3 compatible .MP4 files leaving the original video (H.264) and audio (AAC) untouched.
