Am I the only one who wishes they would stop with the excessive "box set" packaging? Most of them are just that, boxes, inside a box, with the normal DVD packaging inside that.
Just give me the DVD's, shrink-wrapped together or secured with a big rubber band or whatever.. I don't want the silly boxes. Whatever I might be saving buying a box set, I could save even more if I wasn't paying for all that extra packaging and printing.
I throw the boxes away. I don't like how they look in the rack. They spoil the whole aesthetic, imo.

People want the boxes alone? Will even buy them???
It never even occurred to me. I throw them all out.
I can start saving them if you guys want 'em.
The only one I have now is the one that prompted this post, Ocean's 11/12/13.
Nice, sturdy sleeve-type box, nifty graphics, all totally wasted on me. I just retrieved it from the bin, if someone wants it give me an address.

I don't really like the boxes and I rarely buy box sets anyway as the Tv series don't interest me and there is rarely a box set without at least one bad movie (if they were good movies I bought them as they came out)

My biggest beef with most box sets is not the boxes themselves, but the utterly vapid waste of bits inside. Who cares about the in-depth personal details about the foley man's girlfriend's landlord?? Sheesh.
