Can anyone give me the custom timing for this?

I'd like to use a lot of the raster of course...it seems the default timings leave huge blanking on either side.

Here is a 72 Hz refresh that had nice raster usage, it does come with a caveat.

I cannot figure out how to correctly stretch PowerDVD to the correct aspect ratio which makes the resolution worthless for me. I tried using YXY without much success. Maybe someone else reading this can help out there.

We really need an HD version of TheaterTek bad with full AR control!

It's too bad too because it is sharper then 1080p@72 I am running now.

I tried something different using the above timings. I set PowerDVD to “Stretch to Fill Screen” then the adjusted the image size vertically on the projector to fill 16:9 screen. The Windows Desktop appears stretched so it would not be good for games but for HD-movies my system has never looked better.

This is probably not new idea I just never considered it.

I've been doing that for ages in my old HTPC. ATI MMC (when it works) has the vertical stretch option.
Much brighter isn't it?

I don't notice a lot more brightness but it is much sharper. Vista Media Center goes nuts on a 2:40 aspect ratio however. I don't use it anyway so its no big thing. There also may be a way to switch resolutions when VMC starts.

Next task is to setup an application profiles in Powerstrip to switch resolutions when starting PowerDVD. This would allow me to run a 16:9 resolution for games.

Mike, to me your timing has about 150 too many horizontal porch pixels.

It all depends on your projector, but what happens if you try a back porch around 152 and a front porch around 40?

You may need to increase the front porch to the low 200's though..
