Hi all,

on the 23rd i am having a barco tech over to calibrate and fine tune my barco 1208s/2. However, since im running everything from a linux machine he can't really tweak what resolution and hz im feeding the projector, this is up to me.

I'v been searching my behind of trying to find recommended hz settings for 1920x1080, im currently running 1920x1080@48(k?)hz, why? i don't really know, i only know that when i used to use CRT monitors i used to run them way higher than 48(k?)hz.

Some poeple i have spoken to have told me that it depends on what you use the projector for, movies, data etc. I use this projector purely for hddvd/bluray and dvd watching, (i have a mixed collection of NTSC imports/PAL movies) and -everything- is run from the htpc.

I have a linux htpc with a gf9750 feeding a analog signal out through a dvi cable thats split into RGB-HV connectors. (from marcuscables.com)

Could anyone please give me any guidance in what frequency i aught to feed my projector with?

Best regards // max
