Hi
Iīm looking for at graphic or videocard with SDI out to feed my Leeza scaler.
I found this card. http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/sd/techspecs/ ( the simplest one)
Any experience of this card? Iīm not going to do any videowork, only feed the scaler with a clean signal.
Best regards Per

I don't get it. Why would you want an SDI-out computer video card. Usually one goes either the video processor route or the computer route. What display would you use an SDI output with? Please help me understand your intentions.

I doubt if anyone has tried these, but who knows? Why don't you find a card with an HD-SDI output. Probably not cheap but considering that we're moving towards hi-def, it's the way to go in the SDI world.

I donīt know if my scaler is built for HD-SDI?
In my opinion itīs not wort it to buy electronic for the future. I only buy what i need to day. Tomorrow is another day.
Strange that nobody has tested SDI to the scaler cause it has to be the purest signal for the scaler to work with. I mean if you have a scaler that costs several thousand dollars you donīt want a simple built-in processor in your DVD to mess around with the signal first.

Per - SDI is great, HDSDI is also but remember that alot of devices are using HDMI which is very comparable.
I bought a Sony BR player from JVB with HDSDIand use it with my Crystalio 2 scaler. It only does a max of 1080P24 (the bandwidth limit for HDSDI) The picture is stunning, but I can't tell the difference between HDSDI and HDMI.
Kind regards
