Not sure for TS files but I bought Power DVD Ultra 7.3.somthing or other ( not at that PC just now ) and got the UDF driver then updated the video card drivers and finaly installed AnyDVD HD.

Have you installed the UDF driver? Can you see the contents of the HD-DVD if you open the files?

this PC doesn't have enough CPU or a good enough graphics card. I would think it would at least try to play though. it works ok with a burned CD with High-def content on it.

Try a free download of AnyDVD-HD and see if it works for you. They have a 21 day free trial.

With my X-Box drive I just pop the disk in and it starts to play automaticaly.

Do you get any errors when Power DVD tries to play the disk?

You will need AnyDVD HD, if you want to use the VGA output of your video card. If you your complete video chain is HDCP complient you do not need AnyDVD.

I have it working with WinXP Media Center with both PowerDVD Ultra 7.3 and WinDVD.

Mine doesn't work through the VGA without AnyDVD. I think it has something to do with the video card. My video card is HDCP compliant and I require AnyDVD through the VGA but with my other computer, that doesn't have an HDCP compliant video card I don't need AnyDVD.

yep that did it.
although PowerDVD then complains about an incompatible Video driver. so when i set this up on my "end use" HTPC, I should be good.

Sounds like the HDCP is working against you. I take it your display isn't HDCP compliant? So I'd guess the HDCP doesn't see an authorized display and won't allow you to play the HD-DVD.

Aint DRM wonderfull? Rolling Eyes

Yep it would. You would run the DVI to DVI to the Fury and then (a short )RGBHV to your display.

You don't need Anydvd if you are using VGA out.

But you do need a 2xxx series ATi card or 8xxx series Nvidia card.

But Anydvd HD is well worth having anyway.

I was hoping you would pop in.

I wonder if mine would work without AnyDVD....I'll have to try that later. I have the onboard 6150.

And I agree AnyDVD-HD is a great program.
