I guess I'm just one of those people who is not suseptable to many of the artifacts inherent with DLPs. The only times that I've seen rainbows was the odd occasion when I moved my eyes just the right way, but it is VERY rare that I see them. I sit just a tad beyond 1.5x so the SDE is non existent for me as well. I'll be dead honest, I'm enjoying this little Mitubishi quite a bit. For me, the overall experience has been much more pleasant than with my Marquee. That said, my bulb will probably blow on me this weekend.

Believe me when I say I am with envy. Actually, I cannot imagine playing video games on something other than a CRT-based display. What good is it trying to discern the enemy in the faint shadows if it cannot be represented on the screen?
Last night we played some Rainbow Six Vegas and finished a couple of maps, including the Marshalling yards (daytime outdoors, garage doorway with heavy dark areas immediately inside. If the LCD or DLP could not allow me to get the drop on the baddies then its of moot interest--I want to play the AI not the display. Same thing for the the Doscala Restaurant map which is at night, with a dark back alley, basement, etc.
Before playing last night, the wife and I watched Sleepy Hollow (Blu-ray on the Vizio LCD flat-panel) and constantly illustrated the limitations of the technology even though it wasn't meant for critical viewing.
