I think I saw mention of $400 on the second post but not sure where that number came from.

No idea on pricing. Once Moome figures it out, I'll post it. Along with any other new info he gives me.

I hope it is not $400, makes going digital a more likely scenario at that price point.

I am planning to buy the non-remote controlled gamma card...so I am wondering how the dual HDMI inputs will work without remote control. OR will there no longer be a non-remote controlled unit?

I will go out on a limb and assume it is impossible to control this with the NEC factory remote since it will be two inputs in one of the NEC input slots?

I am going to have to run two repeaters to my projector now?

You can select the slot on the projector but you will need to think 'external switcher' when feeding more then one source to that slot.

Its the same as if you had a RGB switcher. The projector can look at the freq being sent and find it via multi-sync. How you select the source to feed the slot is up to you. If a switch will auto switch to sync of the active source or if it is selected via a remote for the external switcher.

I'm unsure if the Moome card auto switches without a remote or if it needs one to select. Doug

yes, that is what I was assuming. The dual inputs will then be of little use.

Most will have an outboard switcher anyway, right?

How about an xg-fullHD lite? Laughing

There will only be one version of the XG-FULLHD. All versions have gamma and remote. Same is true for all of his future products. Creating multiple versions of cards is enormously more work for Moome.

I'm 99% sure it will not autoswitch.

From the faceplate image at the beginning of the thread I see what looks like a spot for a 'SEL' button. Perhaps that's for locally selecting the active HDMI input?

I'm curious if the card has it's own IR pickup for its remote or if it somehow uses the projector's IR receiver? The reason I ask stems from the way I use a Pronto remote macro to have the projector switch to a specific input when I hit the SAT TV macro button, etc. Right now the projector gets the IR no matter where I point since it has IR windows front and back.

I believe the card will have its own IR pickup but we'll wait for Moome to chime in on all these.... things will become clearer once we have pictures/manual/pricing/etc.

Kal,
When switching HDMI on this does the card maintain a active handshake or does everything need to be rebooted? Thanks, Doug

While I can't confirm for sure (hopefully Moome will chime in), I don't see how having to reboot all of the source devices when you swich between HDMI0 and HDMI1 would be an acceptable solution. That doesn't make any sense. I certainly wouldn't accept that as a solution.

Moome's other HDMI solutions with more than 1 input (ex: EXT-HD and MUX-HD) do not require source devices to be rebooted when you switch inputs.

so what is the max band width - 200mhz? - because of the 200mhz DAC?, does pre - dacs support the full HDMI 1.3 - 340mhz?

the DAC can running 225MHZ no problem, and current hdmi chip only support 225MHz.
