|
|
I’m going to start this thread and hopefully it’ll become a sticky here for people to use search command to screen other people’s feedbacks on transactions done with sellers and/or buyers. It seems there are many transactions going on here and I think people should input their opinions on packaging, payment, overall condition on the item they had received etc. I’m pretty sure most of people here are pretty honest, but some are not, therefore it’ll be easier to deal with them. It’ll be pretty easy to get references for your next buy/sell.
Thank you
Chris.

kschmit2 – just dealt with him for the first time and he paid faster then I could have checked my pay pal.
Elaine Benes – always a pleasure, and sorry for the wire.

Kim Beumer (member id Beun), who sells the RTC2200 transcoder / gamma booster (aka Kimcoder), is amazing. He will do anything to keep his customers happy. He offered an incredible low-cost upgrade for people who had his older transcoder and wanted to add the gamma feature. When my RTC2200 developed an intermittent problem, Kim had a replacement (and return postage for the old one) in my mailbox in 3 days.
I second the comment on Elaine Benes. Instantly took care of a problem I had with something I bought.

Randy Bell (User ID: RDEAN)
Bought a replacement Marquee HVPS from him and he shipped it the same day, even offered to walk me through the installation once it arrived.

I haven't purchased much from anybody here (NOT cause I"m cheap...but because I'm po') but I'm tossing in for Barry (Joust Mods) for the lenses and adapters I purchased.
He shipped promptly, he packs like a pro, and he's at the top of his game when it comes to support.

Robert A. Hill - sent me tuning cores for the 4000 no charge ( thanks again! )
AvgOrdinaryGuy - sold me 3 PT-65 arrived with the box beat but the lenses are perfectly intact. Heavy bubble wrap.
Curt somethingorother - sold me a projector in a road case. Good after sales service. Bend over sideways to fix problems.

Analog_Alpha: He actually shipped the PG Point card before I paid. That's something really unusual nowadays.
Mark_A_W: I sold him a NIB red XG LC tube a while ago. Very fast payment, and very smooth transaction. Had to break export rules though to get the tube to him. Germany labels these tubes as "dual use" items, and I would have needed an export permission (which would require the seller to fill in a 30 page document). I decided to risk shipment without that permission
After all, Australia is hardly "enemy territory"!

Thanks Kai.
Well, I'll trust you guys until I get screwed by someone, and I think I might be already. But I'll keep it to myself until it happens.
Chris.

Curt Palme - Sold me a tube and RGB amps for an 1101 from him and they were packed well and shipped quickly.
AnalogRocks - Bought an Ampro remote and sensor, good communication.
Ampro at Home - Bought Ampro service manuals and wired remote, fast pay, etc!
Papalek - Bought a set of HD10's and a set of Ampro neck boards, great buyer.
jask - Bought a set of P18 tubes, great buyer.
nuttall_chris - Bought a set of HD10's, great buyer.
If I've forgotten anyone, it's not because of a bad experience - everyone I've dealt with on here has been great. It's nice to trade here because it feels more like a group of friends compared to eBay. I think Curt sets a good tone with his straightforward & honest manner.

Much too difficult to list all the good buyers/sellers, since I've had so many transactions between ebay, AVS and here... that it would take a good hour to go through all the names and figure out where they belong. But if anyone wants me to list 'em, let me know and I'll vouch if we've had a transaction!!
But the easy part is to list the unsatisfactory transactions that were CRT related.
michelemajoranoarch from ebay who simply can't count. F- for lack of intelligence.
And some guy in France named Przemyslaw GRZYBICKI
who bought my Sony 1271 switcher. He filed a paypal non-receit grievance a week after I shipped the item (which was 4-6 days after he paid). And paypal sided with him since we used USPS non-Express, which does not provide a tracking number.
The ******** got his switcher a week or two later I'm sure, but he never paid me for it!
Oh yeah, and CMJohnson gets a C- average over four transactions.
