Both are under the bandwidth/pixel clock rate required for 1920x1080@60Hz so I don't see why not.
Ie: 1400x1050x75 is less than 1920x1080x60

That's what I assumed since its 150Mhz as opposed to 165Mhz... but wanted confirmation it accepts custom resolutions.

You may want to wait for the official word from Moome, but my understanding is that his products are no different than the HDfury or JohnHWman's previous Sony/Barco products in this respect.
That is, they don't do a thing to the resolution/refresh rate - as long as you're under the 165Mhz pixelclock rate, it'll pass the information through.

|

Hi
I have a Marquee 9501LC Crystalio 2 with media box, Sky HD, Toshiba HD DVD and a few more components, at the moment everything is connected to the Crystalio via component cables and the projector is fed via approx 30 feet of component.
My Question is as I have a scaler would I benefit from one of Moomes cards in picture quality due to keeping everything digital right up to the PJ.
And if it is worth getting one do I need the version with gamma adjustment.
Many thanks for any advice
Andy

Compared to what? The biggest gain will come in avoiding an A/D conversion in the scaler. So, if you are feeding the scaler analog now instead of digital, switching that to digital (which this card and other HDMI/DVI solutions will let you do) will improve your picture.

Andy, your Crystallio II should have its own inbuilt 11/21 point parametric gamma adjustments, better than what the moome allows.

Hi
Sorry should have made it clearer, all my components are connected to the scaler via analogue.
I was assuming that if it was all digital right to the very end ie the projector and the analogue to digital transfer in the moome card was at least as good as the Crystalio I might see an improvement.
There would also be an advantage with the HDCP compliance.

That's correct Andy, keeping everything in the digital domain should theoretically be better. I was answering more in your question regarding whether you need the basic moome version or the one with the gamma option.

OK, I have another question when you guys get a chance to try your new toys out.
Given that you have the advanced card with the remote and fine adjustment on the gamma correction:
Is the gamma correction the same for both the Component and the HDMI inputs? Or, do you get one level of correction on the Component side and a different level of correction on the HDMI side?
Just interested.

Dear GEBrown:
the gamma will have one memory while power off, both same for hdmi and component!
