Have you given any thought to having the Recent Posts take you to the first unread post, rather than the last one?
I am always having to go back in the posts, as I never seem to want to go to the last one.

Thoughts guys?
My thought was that it made more sense to go to the last post since the list of "Recent Posts" is just that: A list of recent posts. It's not a list of "Recent Topics" that were started.
Yes, someone that doesn't frequent the forum often will miss in-between posts and have to scroll back but that's not really what it's about. If you really want a list of posts since your last visit, use the "View posts since last visit" link.

Well, I have missed more than one important post in the last couple of days. On another forum I visit often, the list with unread replies always takes you to the first unread reply since your last visit, not the last reply in the topic. Rather annoying but I have to live with it...

You mean it takes to the PAGE with the last unread post on it, right? The forum doesn't know which posts you've read, only which posts have been posted since you last loaded the page with them on it.
It probably depends on our reading styles whether we like the current scheme or not. I'm on the forum very frequently - probably 5-10 minutes every hour or two, so the way it works is perfect for me. I could see how, if you didn't visit for a day or even half a day, you could get pretty far behind - especially if the thread is a busy one.
