|
|
Hi guys,
Check out the new Printer Friendly View button beside the reply button now available to Club Members only:
This printer friendly view allows you to view an entire thread at once (or one page at a time) in black and white and have it fit nicely on regular sized paper for printing with out the clutter.
Couldn't find anything I liked out there so I had to custom code this one - I modelled it after the one over the A* site.
This has been asked for by a few people now so I decided to spend some time creating it.
Enjoy! Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions!
Kal

Kal - Can we get a similar feature for the main website? E.G. sections like this one:
http://www.curtpalme.com/NECPG_MechSetup1.shtm
(or pdf's of these how-to sections)?
Its more of a want than a need, I admit.

That would unfortunately be a lot more work since I'd have to redo *all* of the previous articles by hand as well as the future ones. Here on the forum I don't do it myself - it's automatic. The main site is 100% static. Maybe someday we'll move the whole thing into a content management system with such a feature, but I'll be honest: It's not likely.

I know... seems kinda pointless doesn't it? I should be doing this work for a digital PJ forum with x100 as much traffic!

We'll be teaming up soon with Gmail paper (a new Google service) to have posts mailed to you on paper instead of via email. I think there's a real interest in this. Every time there's a follow up post, you'd get a physical letter right in your mailbox at home with the new post! Google already does it with their Gmail, why not here?
See here for more info: http://mail.google.com/mail/help/paper/index.html

I always wanted this feature too but didn't want to ask and seem an ingrate; what with everything you already do. (and rumor has it that you have a life outside the forum)
Many thanks Kal.

Just joined the club, feels like a new life
If I had a whish I would ask for a download section of highly resolved pictures so that we can use them for showing of with our impressive screen shots.
No, not necessarily only naked women and fast cars

You must be talking about someone else... I'm not far from 40!

Puhshaw! When I was pre-40 I was springing out of bed and laundry could still be scrubbed on my abs. I hit 46 and it was like watching a time lapse wax figurine melting.
BOT, I have a mess of printing to do today. I'll be giving your latest feature a good workout.
Greg
