I haven't seen the DVD myself yet, so I'll just have to quote some of others that have that don't have projectors that directly relate to the one used in the DVD and you'll have to make the judgement call yourself!

My take is that this DVD will help with understanding the general principles around adjusting any CRT projector since the principles are all the same. All that varies is exactly how much control you have on these adjustments. Some higher end projectors have more, some lower-end projectors have less, and some stuff like astig (2/4 pole magnet) adjustments are found on *all* projectors.

I've also found over the years that watching someone else work on a CRT projector is a great way to learn a few tricks and tips. While I know my way around a projector pretty well (having set up multiple models now), there are some interesting tips that you learn from actually watching someone else as compared to just "reading" how to do it on a forum or a manual.

Testimonials:

"I can highly recommend this DVD for a beginner. Even though it didn't relate to my [Marquee 9500] Ultra's or a blend... it did make it more comfortable for me to see someone else with experience at work, which seemed to bridge the gap for me and give me enough confidence to start doing things and knowing that I was on the right track." - Gino

"The biggest insight for me was to see how a Pro Calibration methodically goes thru items in sequence and for what reasons....Grahams DVD showed me what I'd been doing right as well as what area's I could extract better performance from my G70." - NewbieDan

"I already have this DVD, but I thought I'd just chime in and say that it's a great piece of work! It's geared at Sony projectors, but could actually be very useful for any novice who is about to set up any CRT for the first time. Many basic principles could be understood quickly by viewing this DVD! Recommended!" - Arioch

The DVD is well worth it for anyone that has a CRT FP. I had learned quite a bit, only if there was a DVD like that for a NEC few years ago. Come on who's the brave one to make one first? Graham, thank you for making this DVD for this community.
Chris.

Thanks for the screen-caps Chris! This gives me a ton to work with! I've updated the original post and the page on the website as well.

Update: I forgot to ask - Got any action shots? Pics of Graham working inside the projector? (Stuff that looks like he's actually doing something meaningful)? Smile

Thanks for the info, guys! I'll go ahead and order as soon as the hemorrhaging of money on the HT build-out slows a little.

you might want to look into this: www.lulu.com
