|
|
After my Barco 708mm is turned on, the crt tube could not light up, the LED at the front of the machine shows a red light, which means that it is ‘hold down EHT’ fault, I replaced a HV quadrupler, but the fault is still there. I don't know where the error occurred? Thanks!

It can also be the HV splitter or a fault on the power supply board, or a short in one of the tubes. Disconnect the HV lead going to all tubes, and turn on the projector and see if the red EHT light still comes on. If so, I'd change the HV splitter next. I've got them for sale here:

I replaced the test with a spare HV splitter, The HV splitter is faulty. I may need a HV splitter and a RGB driver board of BG 808s
Thanks Curt

Unfortunately, when I turned on the machine for the second time,The machine gave a bang, the 708mm shows ‘hold down EHT’ fault again, the HV splitter seems to be damaged,I don't know what happened?

I may have made a mistake. I connected one end of the HV splitter to the casing. this is the most original installation method of 708mm, When I removed this line from the casing, and disconnect the HV lead going to all tubes, ‘hold down EHT’ fault LED light will changed from red to yellow, but the left end of the upper part of the machine made a sound,is this what Curt said about ' a short in one of the tubes'?
I don't know how to find the fault?
Thanks!

If the lead lines of all the tubes is connected to the HV quadrupler, the LED light will show ‘hold down EHT’ fault.

Are the tubes P16LNG22 ? If yes, I know a cheap set in good shape.
Are you located in Hungary ?
