|
|
Hello,
I am preparing to ceiling mount my NEC-XG85 using the factory mount. I was going to attach unistrut to the ceiling with lag bolts and then attach the mount to the unistrut with 3/8" machine screws. That all seems more than beefy enough for the task. However, I am worried about the eight M6 screws that attach the mount's L-brackets to the projector. Is that correct? They seem like awfully tiny screws for all that weight.
Anyone use this mount before?
Thanks,
Dave

You're right, I questioned that as well, but nope, you're fine.

I have also used them, they are fine👍 keep in mind that each one of those screws should be able to support over 400lbs of pull out force under standard design calculations.... It just looks sketchy😁
