Hello again folks.
Based on some reading here from past forum threads, I am surmising that Moome had different versions produced for his HDMI Marquee cards.
How do you identify which version one has?
And, what was the latest version made?
Cheers!

Good morning Kal. And, as always, thank you very much for the kind reply.
By visual comparison, my cards looks like the latest one in the link provided (version 3).
However, I am compelled to ask if the older models (version 2) also had the white "1080P FULL HD" markings across the front of the unit?
Otherwise, how would you proceed in distinguishing them?
Cheers!

Hello again folks. Well, most astute of you as usual Kal; I did pull the module from the projector and it says "Ver 0.2" so I am going to assume that it is a Version 2 (?)
The remote control that it came with has a white silkscreen with "PJI-HD" (RC-001) on the front; Does this help to confirm the version?
Thank you again to all!

Hi Kal. Thank you very much for confirming, I do sincerely appreciate it.
So, in its ultimate sense, what am I missing out from Version 3?
And, is it worth my wiles to seek one out... (?)
Cheers!

Hi Kal. I did take a moment to scrutinize the details as are outlined in the link provided and an important qualification was not necessarily elaborated in detail.
When referring to Dolby processing, does it mean that version 2 will pass pass a Dolby / DTS signal ?
Or, moreover, was it meant to specifically convey that Version 3 can process the HD (lossless) version of the Dolby / DTS variety (?)
Thank you.

From the order page:
DTS-HD / Dolby True HD lossless audio support: Allows you to use an HDMI receiver or pre-amp between your Blu-ray player and projector to decode lossless audio. Previously this did not work correctly due to the HDMI card's EDID. The EDID has now been updated so this will work.

Hi Kal. Yes, I read that. But, it unfortunately fails to address my rather pedestrian question; Despite this specificity, will a Version 2 card still effectively process "regular" Dolby Digital / DTS signal?

The caveat here seems to be the "HD portion of the equation; Is it referring only to lossless for the Version 3?

The version 2 card (and earlier) have an EDID that allows lossy Dolby Digital / DTS to pass.
The version 3 card has an updated EDID that allows lossy and lossless Dolby Digital / DTS to pass.

Good morning Kal. Very well then, this is just what I thought; Thank you for confirming, it is much appreciated.
Albeit nice to have, for me this aspect is not a critical consideration.
Cheers!
