Hi there. I've been lurking here for something like 15 years, but thought I'd make my first real post by sharing today's find.
I bought this projector not quite knowing what I was gonna get, but took a chance on it thinking it'd be some good spare parts at the very least.
The seller said it came in a lot of military surplus electronics and he didn't know much about it. I popped the hood to make sure it was at least complete, loaded it up and hit the road.
Got it home, took a good look at it: Built in 2010, extremely clean inside and out, no signs of anyone ever having been inside,
and zero phosphor wear. Looking good so far, so I plugged it in, aimed it at some cardboard and pulled up the hour meter. It says 110 hours with CRTs on, and 0 hours in standby! Definitely made my day!

Nice find. Super minty 2010 CRT. Now get a Moome card and CRT nirvana awaits.

I thought HaydnG90 was the first to mention it was a 2010 ... now I see it was you.
Don't know how many hours they put on Marquees during burn-in, but if it's anything like Barco, that 110 hours is pretty much a completely unused unit (NOS).
Enjoy!

Going to pick this up, I thought for sure it was going to be high hours and have simulator wear. I still can't believe it!!
To the Marquee guys out there, I would be very interested to know if 110 hours is the factory burn in.

Nice Find!!!!!
Yes, 110 hours is factory runtime. The Electrohome crew ran every Marquee for a week at 100^F heat room; yours has near zero end user run time.

It's quite possible that it was purchased by the gov't as a spare set, and never used. I've had a couple like that through here over the years.

Wow !! sincere congratulations!!! you were very lucky to find a new one ... because with 100 hours of use it is as if you bought it new ....
Welcome to the marquee club
Just one question: what kind of lenses are installed?

Mine is a 2010 unit too, although mine had 16k hrs in it with obvious wear...
You'll probably find LUG tubes in it and "new style" neckboards, these newer neckboards are unfortunately not very good -performance wise, look for some classic VNBs with the Motorola transistors, those are much better (well at least for HD resolutions).

Guys
Back in Michigan we put four M8000s in a 24/7 network control room at Chrysler. Four years later, no stoppages, just tube wear. It is the power/on/off that stresses projectors, not the runtime hours so much.
