I have one that has scratches on the dust cover, otherwise its pretty much mint. I looked them up on ebay and the competed price ranges from $300 to $1,800. The $1,800 was obviously mint, but I see others that looks to be equally mint and they don't sell for half that much. Why such a wide range of selling price? Are there different variations that have different values?

Different arms, different cartridges. The turntable is only part of the equation.
Never mind different conditions or states of refurbishing (with new belts, for example).
Some people are selling "grandpa's record player they found in the basement".
Others are professionals that have refurbished with new belts and know how to align things and assess the quality/condition.
Some people may also be fishing.

Kal, I didn't look at all of them but the one that sold for $1,800 has a $200-250 cartridge and the original tone arm on it.

I've had this for a while and when I first looked it up on ebay they were bringing $350-450. I don't get it. I don't know what changed. I put it on Facebook for $1,000, local pick up only. I don't see that ever happening but I guess its worth a shot.
