if anyone wants to give a few infos:
1. type of Marquee
2. Country
3. Screen Size / aspect ratio
4. display source , processors used
maybe that can be done with Sony and Barco owners, too

Of course I have my Marquee too, which is a 2010 VDC 9500 Ultra. Many boards are self modified (LVPS, HDM, VIM, FGM, VDM)
Located in Hungary, near Budapest.
My theater is under construction but I have a 200cm wide screen 16:9.
Source is HTPC.
Have a local friend who also have a 9500 (non ultra).

Among all Marquee is the most labour intensive projector. Eg consider you have an 1997 Sony G90, a 1997 Barco 1209 and an 1997 Marquee. Sure the G90 likely needed a new Dallas chip down the road (maybe a YA board), the Barco a quadroupler or two, but these are quite straightforward maintenance steps. As for the Marquee: you can perform tons of mods and bulettins which may or may not needed, but the bellows are for sure sweating - leaking glycol and may be even the tube hardware is eaten away. The survival rate is much lower without thorough care there, not to mention that people get tired of the constant tweaking after a while...

Flat screen didn't kick my Marquee out of the theater -- it was a JVC RS45.

not a fair battle, the jvc is petite compared to the marquee.

Much better picture too. I had an 8500 and I was never able to get sharp focus on it. Never got decent HD. The JVC "just works."

Hello
"crt still pleases my eys the most even with all the problems it has."
Your 7500 can be made nine inch, that is the genius of the Marquee modular architecture.

I've had my Marquee 9500LC since 2018 and I've been using it at least several times a week since then for - mostly - watching movies.
Located in USA. 16:9 screen, 82.5" diagonal (72"x40"). HTPC & BD player via receiver for, mostly, Blu-rays.
I have a lot of affection for the machine. The technology, and the history of the technology, is fascinating to me - its flexibility, its capacity to beautifully display material from sources that didn't exist when it was built. It was a fun process to search for the projector (I began looking in 2017) and, once found, to learn about it, install it, and do a bit of maintenance, though the machine was in great shape overall when I acquired it. Install and maintenance wouldn't have been possible without this site and the people on it. And I'm still working on it, of course!

Yeah for sure, Finnish Marquee 9500 Ultra owner here, loving the picture. Just recently got the setup pretty much spot on so no reason to ditch it.
- Screen size 100" 16:9
- HTPC with VideoEqualizer software for gamma correction and MadVR

Two Marquee 9500 Ultra, not too much modified. I live in Germany.
Mods: pi- fan control- board, own devellopment,
pp-film capacitors on vertical board (you can hear the v-frequency if you use the original ceramic capacitors)
tinted c-elements, propylene glycol instead of monoethylene glycol (no corrosion or sweating bellows)
more stable voltage references throughout the projector (results in much less drift)
They are in a edge blend configuration using immersive display pro (which i do not recommend, but it works)
screen size is 3,2 x 1,7m, 143" diagonal.
cheap but greatly working silver screen material about gain 2, slightly curved screen.
Display source: modified GTX480 (quadro 6000) with two DVI-I ports.
No processors but i5 4500 and nvidia GF100
regards, Julian

Nice to see HTPC users here. In think it's the ultimate solution for crt pjs. Bit trickier to set up, but really no need for external VIM input cards or processors.

Try a DVX8022 blender with a Moome MUX for switching sources, you will love it.

Still here! I've got one on the ceiling. Still the go-to projector.
Now working on a blend.
Still going strong, still an excellent image!
And I've got parts to spare. (Thanks, Tim!)
