1/8" stereo into a mixer; better with 1/4" or XLR?

I'm looking at mixing the inputs from 3 TV's and 2 laptops in this mixer:

Is it better to go from the headphone jacks to unbalanced 1/4" inputs on the mixer or to the XLR inputs?

1/4 phone jacks. The XLR uses an extra mic preamp usually, so you'd get a bit of extra noise.
