I had a close friend that recenly passed on. His wife is consequently downsizing to a smaller house and needs to get rid of his collection of pinball machines. This guy was and electronic wiz and very handy at refurbing them so they have good electronics and many of them with new bumper pads. There are in pretty good shape.
I'm looking for someone that can help me gauge the worth of these (even if ballpark), or that might be interested in them.
They are located in Cambridge, Ontario (near Toronto).
What is it that pinball wizards are looking for in these machines? We know very little exepct to say I've invested a small fortune in the Tempest as a student.
Machines available are as follows:
Twighlight Zone
Star Trek the Next Generation
Fun House
Flash Gordon
Indiana Jones
Sure Shot (antique)

Well, I always wanted a TNG pinball, but it's too far and they fetch around $2600 now.

That is a nice collection!
3 of the 5 wide-body pinballs made by Williams (Twilight Zone, Star Trek the Next Generation, Indiana Jones). The other ones were Judge Dreadd and Road Show.
I think the Indy should give the most cash.
I have a Star Trek: TNG and it is still simply amazing, after all these years
Can be tough like hell though!
Daniel.

Like Daniel says, that's a heck of a collection. I know Twilight Zone can fetch $2500+ and bet most of the others can, too.
Examples:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140216273240 TwiZone, $2577
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280208340734 TwiZone, $2908
Searching completed auctions on eBay, sort by highest price first, is a good way to do a quick and informal appraisal. Make sure you get the spelling right! If you have time to invest in it, listing them on eBay might also be a good route to go. If not, you can probably find consignment services or dealer/buyers.
Good luck. I know having to do this sucks. I hope it provides some nice cushion for your friend's wife.

I had a TZ for years. Loved it. Traded it for my Sports car. regretted that many times over.
I still have a High Speed and a High Speed II (the Getaway)
High Speed remains my favorite Pinball.
I am plugged into a huge network of Pinball nuts. I'll get this fellas wife the best deal.

I also enjoy my High Speed. I recall that it was one of the more popular pinball machines in 1986. I also got the high score on mine.

Unlike CRT projectors, pins are pretty expensive these days, but High Speed & Getaway are still pretty reasonable if you're just looking to replace, at least.
That's a nice gesture, AnalogRocks. BH is a great game if you're a fan of games from that era.
A dead & untouched original Black Hole will probably be hovering in the neighborhood of $600 up to 1500 if the cosmetics are nice. An untouched BH will need a fair bit of electronic work to bring it into a reliable state, so they're usually quite a bit cheaper than a working one and they often need a replacement MPU board, etc. Nothing tough -- just tedious, and all the info is out there to do it, but Gottlieb screwed up a few crucial engineering details like having a reliable ground between all PCBs that needs to be addressed; replacing caps, re-pinning connectors, etc.
I'd recommend Pinside.com if you want to get an idea of what pins are selling for. Here's BH's previous sales:
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/archive?s=1&ad_machine_key=49
Triple Strike won't have much value, because it doesn't have much replay or aesthetic value for most players/collectors.
Source: have owned/own most electronic pins, including Williams Joust, hah.
