As I was watching my G90 tonight for a couple of hours, I heard a pop and the picture went out. Error code 61 was set (200V line). The remote was inactive and the fans were all shut down as well.
What should I look for? A suggestion for the next step?

Don't know if its the same cause but a good place to start. A cracked green tube will result in what you heard and error 61

Yes, look into all three lenses with the set off, and see if you can see a crack across any of the tube faces.

Hi,

You could have a short on the +200V Line on the PA board. This would happen if one or more of the big switching MOSFETS was fried...

Kind Regards,

Good catch, the female nickname should have been suspicious on a CRT forum, right from the start... Wink

woohoo.

Just a Guest Troll and not an official one. Funny how the Troll arrived from AVS. I have my suspicions.
