Bought one of these monsters for fun.

The gray screen has a mark that looks like liquid was spilled in one spot.

Is there a safe way to clean these screens?

Also, does anyone have a manual handy for this machine?

The instructions that came with my screen said you should clean it with window cleaner and a facial tissue, but I don't know if yours is the same construction as mine.

What is your model number for the screen?

Mine is listed in this manual: http://www.curtpalme.com/docs/Sony_KP5020.pdf

Its the one with the 13 gain, an aluminum foil concave screen.

The instruction sheet that came with my screen says it's a "53-1655-02." It doesn't say who made it, but it mentions hanging positions for "VB750" and "VB760" which are Advent VideoBeam model numbers, so I guess it's an Advent screen? I am using it with a VideoBeam 1000A, but I didn't realize it was a VideoBeam screen when I bought it (just that it looked about the right size and shape, haha).

I had mine refinished at an automotive shop because the original screen surface was all but destroyed, but the original screen surface on mine was made out of aluminum foil, with kind of a flat/matte clear coat on top of it. The cleaning instructions, word for word, on mine say, "To clean the screen use soft facial tissues and a pump bottle of 'Windex with Ammonia-D' window cleaner or equivalent water-based glass cleaner."

By facial tissue do we mean a kleenex?

I can't think what else they would mean.
