I like the thought of a recreation room that looks like something that could be "high-tech" in the 60's-70's. Like the Hef picture.

The hardest part about recreating that effect is getting all the Playboy bunnies. Laughing

For hushbox: obviously reducing noise is the main reason, but that's pretty easy. Just surround it with a box lined with something soft and you'll stop 80-90% of the noise. But cooling is also a key consideration. These beasties generate a lot of heat. You need to have enough room around the projector, and (quiet) fans to provide enough airflow, to keep the projector cool.

Under the Fooseball table. I like it!

That room screams de-modernize me! Have you considered vintage wood paneling and shag carpet? Maybe a nice mustard or bright orange color. Laughing

I will change the carpet and I have a painter that will paint one of the walls black and have the cover of the black metal Mayhem's album "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" on the wall. Again, my windows paint skills. Very Happy

The painting is one of the best black metal albums. So it must be like the cover, plus it is much cooler that way.

... the classic argument "when did Metallica sell out?" Smile most people either say the black album or Load.... I like the black album too, but it not the same band, ,style or sound that put out those first 4 LPs... the last two albums have been total crap.

kind of like comparing the old Challenger vs new Challenger

sorry for the hijack NIN!!.... I am more of a goat metal guy myself.

That projector is an Advent Videobeam 1000, if you were curious.

Are you running a SCART to RGBS into the projector at 240/288p?

Lets say I get the 909. How should I play retro-consols with 240P RGB the best way on it?
Linedoubler to 480P to keep sharp scanlines?

I find line doublers tend to minimize the appearance of scan lines on a CRT projector. I think you'd want to hook the console straight up if you want to keep the scan lines visible.

`

But will the Barco 909 take the 240P signal?

This guy use a Cine 9 to play NES on.
https://youtu.be/hcFlXATEiS8

He use a XRGB-3 to linedouble the image. So I would guess that is one way to do it.
