Green tube goes off suddenly, I'm going to check the glow.

Orange glow at the very back of the neck keeps glowing when the green colour goes off screen. Same for all three tubes.

OK, so it's not filament related. Most likely video signal related.

Noticed one dull joint on the back of the green neck board, directly behind one of the connectors so will try soldering it and see what happens

That doesn't matter. What matters if there's a bad connection / cold solder joint. As long as the pins are well soldered, that plastic terminal block positioning doesn't matter.

I wouldn't do that. Forcing could break the solder joint. It doesn't need to be flush. In fact, if you were able to force it (move it), you've most likely broken the solder joint and you really should be reflowing solder to ensure good connectivity. Right now it's only connecting due to friction.

Oops, beginners mistake, I am not an expert and have googled pcb and how they are attached and you are absolutely correct. I must admit it is working perfectly now and honestly its the only thing have tinkered with. I am not not sure if it will keep going but its been good on a test for 6 hours plus no problems. You mentioned the reflowing solder, I take it that means soldering the pins where I pushed the block, I will do that. Hopefully it will be ok now... many thanks you for your tips and support.
