The original Thomas Crown Affair from 1969 opens with the getaway driver walking up to the door of a hotel room. He knocks, discovers the door slightly ajar and proceeds to enter the room. He closes the door and immediately flood lights are upon him so that he cannot see Thomas Crown. In looking at the scene closely, I noticed that the door has a chain lock that is engaged. Why? Or How?
Imagine you are offered to do something that gets you to show up to a hotel to meet someone that is unknown to you. As you open the door to the room is extremely dark so why would you want to lock the door? Furthermore, why would you chain-lock your only escape route? Did I miss something after feasting on my morning Xmas meal?
OK, that is your holiday question for the day. I just watched the move on Amazon Prime.
