Does anyone know how i pair a remote control for a Sony 1292 against a Sony G70?. I recently bought a sony G70 in great condition but there was no remote enclosed, only the internal control was available. Then i got my hands on a remote for a 1292 but it did not work initially. I should be able to pair it with the G70 or at least so i was told.

Check the switch setting on the back of the Sony, on one of the CPU boards. It should be set to 0,1, the default for the IR address for the G70.

I'm not at home this week but I'm pretty sure I have a G70 remote I'd love to get rid of...
