|
|
Hi,
after my search for an replacement glas for an NEC PG9200 i could get my hands on an NEC XG135LC.
I transfered this unit from germany to austria and had no problem to install it on the ceiling.
After setup for Laserdisc PAL and NTSC with a Cinemateq-Scaler went ok i am using a HTPC with NVIDIA ION 2 Graphics-Card to drive it with 1080p72 and 1080p50 and Kodi on Windows.
The first three days i haven't got any problems with this resolutions. Running time was probably 1.5 to 2 hours a day.
But today i powered up the projector and it gave me a problem with the picture. I don't know how to describe in english so i tried to make a video:

It shouldn't be a heat problem and the unit is in very good condition. What could be the problem? The owner before me was using it also with 1080p72.
The unit is modified with a fan mod from fft on the beisammen.de-Forum.
I tried it again with Laserdisc and without any input and the problem is also there. Could it be the input card?

If you are lucky it is a contact problem around the C-Drive board or V-drive board, then you can try to reseat their connectors. Otherwise it could be that either of these boards are start failing.

That's a common problem. Get a can of DeOxIt spray cleaner, and clean the red/blue horizontal yoke connectors and pins on the H board. That should do it.

At the moment we have a children's birthday party. I will try it later and give feedback.

NO!!!! No WD40! It's flammable, and is not good for any electronics!

I cleaned the connectors and the problem went away. Problem solved.
