Hey gang, I just got in 17 late 2002 vintage MArquee Ultras, both 8500 and 9500. All have simulator tube wear, although light, and I think the reds will be useable.
I don't need 17 friggin' Marquees here, so I'd be willing to sell either a full chassis (with HD10L lenses) for $400, or to save on shipping, I'd send out a full set of boards, incl the two power supplies and motherboard ($50 extra to pull the backplane, it takes an hour to take out!), and whatever magnetics you might want.
I will test each set prior to shipping/stripping for proper operation, so if you have a non Ultra, or an Ultra, but no spare parts, this price for a full set or full set of boards is going to be cheaper than buying one or two boards from others here or elsewhere.
I'll be scrapping about 10 sets, need at least two sets of boards for clients already, so I'll have about 8 available.
Let me know.

OK, so the sets are here. All are indeed 2002 vintage, and all are Ultras. THe price above stands, but as I'm scrapping sets, I've got sets of LC chambers with worn tubes in them, top and bottom 9" mounting plates if you want to convert an 8500 to 9500, etc. Absolutely every part for these projectors is available X 10. I am testing all board sets before pulling the sets apart so that I know everything is working.
Pricing is compatible to ebay, so make an offer on whatever you want!

Got the email, thanks! What I'll suggest to you and anyone else as well, is I'll send you the whole chassis with the boards in it, less the tubes, lenses and other case hardware. I should be able to ship that UPS, and that will save you from dismantling your 8000 set other than taking out the tubes. Should save you about an hour, and the chassis will save the boards from damage in transit as well. Might be a couple more $$ for shipping that way, but in the long run you're better off.
So if anyone else has an older 8000/8110/9000, etc. I can ship a chassis as described above, so that a transplant of tubes and lenses is quick and easy.

Curt that price is very tempting.(almost too tempting)
I am thinking of doing a blend at some point and ultra boards would work out great with my low hour tubes in my current set.
Just have to get the blend unit to do it.

don't know why people are not jumping all over this. Those fence sitters thinking about whether or not they will go from a 7 or 8 inch tube to a digital should consider this.

I have a few Ultra chassis left with toasted tubes and 10L lenses, yes. also have new in the box reds and greens, but I'm getting REALLY low on those. Once i"m out, I'm out. I have maybe 10 reds left, and I think 2 greens.
Racer- email me at curtpalme at shaw.ca
Thanks!

Were you able to determine if you still have any of the big mounting plates they came on? I'd really like to get one or two of them.

Shoot me an email please to curtpalme@shaw.ca
I won't have time to deal with this until mid October, as I am in the middle of 3 sound system installs, leaving me very little time for anything else, but I will get back to you.
thanks!
Curt
