Dear gents,
After 12 years of pleasure with very nice images, my Sony 1272Q stopped to turn on.
So, I put its 72 Kg over my desk and openned it for the second time (first one had been to clean inside lens of the three tubes) hoping for only a burnt fuse.
Unfortunately I've found also (yes, the fuse was burnt) a broken transistor (Q151: IRFP 451Q).
Under the heatsink of the transistor there is a diode also dammaged, in short circuit. It is connected between the Source and Gate of the broken transistor, but it is small and has no part number code on its case, there is no space for that.
Can someone help me with more information about such diode?
I also think that I should replace some more components even for prevention, I will replace the second switching transistor for sure, but need more infos to go on with circuit analysis.
Does somebody have the schematic or the Bill of Materials of Sony 1272Q, and could kindly send it to me?
I've downloaded from curtpalme.com the Service Manual, checked every pages carefully, but the power supply is not included in that doc, nothing about it. It seems the power supply is a 3rd party item, not a Sony one (no Sony written in the board).
The power supply main board has the code: SOPS - 1047PF, I couldn't find anything about it in the net.
So, please, if you have the schematic, the BOM or any recommendation about how to proceed with this repair and can send to me I will apreciate a lot!
Thanks for your attention!

Thank you cmjohnson,
but, as I have written in my previous post, there is no information about the power supply board in that Service Manual.
Actually ithe Power Supply is treated only as a black box module in the page 20/21 of the pdf.

That's nothing unusual. Most manufacturers treat the power supply as an item that they buy from another vendor and only replace it,
not repair it. Check with Curt, he may have spares.
