Try with a different display and see if it's a issue with the receiver.
I read online back of this very issue causing issues even with digital projectors and it depends on the brand
Have you checked for firmware updates on denon's site??
There might be one for your unit.
Try that before fully giving up.

It's a Denon AVR-X1200W Only receiver I have. Not buying another one either. Firmware is up to date. Thanks

I seen the reviews on Amazon and some of the reviewers have had this same issue
Something tells me it's a flaw that they didn't work out before sending the model out to the masses.
My Sony unit does this from time to time with a digital projector and has done it a time or two with my CRT sets.(once was due to the cable the other was a glitch with the built in switcher in the unit.

I got a firmware update from Denon. Didn't fix my problem thou, Bummed
