|
|
Just bought a used JVc for gaming and using for convergence on the stack for cheap. Problem I'm having is getting the PC to sync at 1080p, now it syncs at 720p just fine but as soon as I change the res to 1080p48 or 1080p60 it loses sync and the default pj blue screen comes up.
I have the it hooked up from the pc by the following.
DVI card on pc then dvi to hdmi converter then hdmi all the way to JVC.
Any ideas?
Dave

What video card are you using? It sounds like a nVidia possibly? You probably need to adjust the timings in the custom resolutions menu on the nVidia control panel.
If you have a AMD Radeon card the same would likely apply, though the issue you describe is widely known on nVidia graphics cards and "Large format" displays

I'm using an oldish AMD Radeon card, I have no idea about these things but I do have custom res shortcuts setup on pc for my 909's( a mate set them up for me), not the same thing?

The Jvcs don't like 48/50/60 from pc or blue ray player.
The new Oppo UHD player can lock the main meny in 24HZ and then you get the sync issue to disappear.
Menu on bluerayplayers are usually 50/60 JVC don't like. Shitt yes...
Use 24hz
Then sync problem gone.
