I can get a very good price on the Elite screen posted in the title. It has a gain of 1.1 and I am wondering what opinion everyone may have for use with my 8500 Marquee.

Elite Screens TE106HW2 CineTension2 Series Projector Screen - 16:9 - 106" Diagonal

Size and Aspect Ratio

16:9 Aspect Ratio
106" Diagonal Viewing Size (92.4"W x 52.0"H)

Screen Material

CineWhite 1.1 Gain Screen Tension Material is flat, durable and easy to clean screen material.
160 degree wide viewing angle for commercial and residential presentations
Black backed screen material eliminates light penetration for superior color reproduction
Black masking enhances picture contrast

Thanks,

Mark

That sounds like a good fit for a CRT. I run my 7" SONY D50 on a 95" 1.3 gain screen and it looks good. So an 8500 8" on a 106" diagonal screen with 1.1 gain should be good. Not too wide either so you won't have to drive your projector too hard.
