I'm glad I waited another year, but now I can't stop myself anymore, when I found this tad darker smurf blue vinyl wrap. It is just perfect and I love it.
I can't wait to get going on this in about a weeks time. Plenty of time to mold the new front and make repair on deeps scratches. All I need to do is to find the cheapest vendor, but I'm ordering it tonight.
I was about to order 3m 1080 G47 Gloss intense blue first, but in the end I couldn't as it is a little to bright. Then I found this one below, after hours of searching, and now I am happy!
I'm ordering 5 meter so I can also do the chambers too. That will look cool I think.
It's called HEXIS HX20293b

I feel it. I like blue. When I painted my theater room in a "colonial blue" or not far from it, I painted the side case covers to match, and painted the metal covers black. I think it looks pretty sharp and definitely fits with the overall decor.
I'd rather have a Vision One case but you deal with what you have.

Yes, I need to do something about my Vision Two front. To make it easy on myself, I should just saw an oval circle and use a metallic grill in its place. Trying to saw 3 oval holes will not be easy. And by molding I mean the front under it where it covers the LVPS+HVPS. It is uneven and misplaced and want to incorporate a digital fan controller there in the exact middle.
But damn, that blue is hauting me! I was just about to order now from a Swedish company and then at the last minute found out that there is no shipping methoud to choose from, so will have to call them. But I wont, I have the night on me to find a German vendor.
Another silly looking color is the Brilliant Blue from Hexis. If not even better looking than what I already picked out. Very close looking both of them so either one would be fine I guess.
I hope you find your VV1 soon. Maybe even put out an ad wtb?

Somebody doesn't like blue, I guess?
I have pictures but they're on my "old" computer, which hasn't been hooked up in a year, I think, so don't expect to see them.
Right now the PJ is curently skinless, as it's not working for some bizarre reason I have yet to find. Once another LVPS arrives I'll
know if it has to come off the ceiling for repair or not. I've tested everything else and if it's not the LVPS then it's the CLM or the motherboard,
or backplane, or power supply wiring harness. That's IT.

Hey now, this blue is the exact opposite of the already glossy red casing.

Maybe you could have the side panels dipped with a cool graphic? A flame job, maybe? A pile of smashed and burning digital projectors?

Looks good. I would give it a try. I prefer painting, but vinyl might be a lot easier.

I've actally tried the dipping mod when I was in the twenties. It was a company who sold them in a small packages for people to getting messy in their own homes
To make it easy on myself, I was thinking the whole section that holds the lenses can breaken off into a matt black finish. And possibly the lower sides as well.
I have a large matt spray can too. Will do the chambers with matt I think.
