I scored one of these for $7.50 at Thrift while surfing for Hallowe'en stuff.
I currently have it plugged into a circa. 1986 SHARP 13" RGB Monitor Television also from a different Thrift store for $4.99
Found a copy of "An American Werewolf in London" under a 1/4 inch of dust.
Watching it via composite from the HD-DVD player, 16:9 on the 4:3 screen stretched.
Also listening to the L+R audio on a pair of Philips Magnavox 900MHz headphones scored at yet another Thrift store for $5.99
So for a grand total of $17 I'm having some Saturday night Geek fun with OLD tech.
BTW anyone have a lower door off this player or a complete dead player? I need parts.

Great format, too bad the good titles are few and far between.

I just picked up a multi-remote RCA 6in1 RCRPS06GR, I did a code search on the DVD button and on press number 37 the HD-DVD player came alive.
I also found another HD-DVD at Thrift today but I passed, it had bird shite on it, no remote, no power cord and they wanted $30
