Well yes that is one of the problems. In my HT I can do 3,5 meter max. Having 3 919's on the ceiling or on the floor would be fun. I think the distance to the screen will be 1/3 of what I have now so something like 1,5 meter. That way they can all stand in front of me like a huge coffee table hushbox.
A tripple blend will have the advantage that the blend zone is not in the middle. Perhaps I should go for a sort of curved screen. The HFQ900 can do some curving.
I think the pc software to do 3 screens is available.

1.5 mtr from the screen sounds too close.

With three of them?
No not really, but maybe he needs some of my short throw HD10L lenses to do that ;-b

Could always put them on the 45° and make a triangular screen

Unless I go for a cinemascope?
But the blend zones will be not so in the centre.
I will not use VP's but the Barco Semu 2 advanced and contrast modulation. Together with a pc to split the image. Anyone have comments on this one please say so.
But the lens argument is stronger. The HFQ900 will not focus that close to the screen I am afraid.
The good point is that the 919 have sharp focus beams and using them in a blend will use more fosfor vertical so I think I can resolve 2k vertical. But for 4k I will need faster video bandwidth. But 4k interlaced ?
A blend with 2 I guess is the most realistic. Well I warned everybody this is experimental at most

Blend with 2.35:1 will mean the middle projector is basically stacked with the middle of the outer 2, making it bloody hard to balance wear.

Youd need 4 to make the effort worth while, and split it to quarters.
Even then youd want to go hard edge at least one way...

With three CRT Projectors the best solution would be two on floor blended and the single up on Ceiling in center further back to fill screen. The center PJ will wash out the blend zone of the two floor mounts. Run everything at 800p@72 out including the ceiling mount PJ. Also add a memory for the single mount for 1080p@60 for sports. Thats how I would do it. And might
