well I just bought the second to last set of HD145's from hammerhead on Thursday and a friend of mine in Green Bay bought the last ones. So it looks like this mod is not going to be as easy to do as previously thoguht unless you have an NEC your ready to disassemble.
Anybody know of a place to get some?

Just wondering if you don't mind my asking what was the final selling price. I saw a while back he had bumped his prices when supply dropped and demand went up.

I'd watch Ebay; a set of HD-145's sold a few days ago for less than $100 shipped.

I have a few sets i just aquired.
I am offering them due to limited availability and fairly high demand as follows:

HD145 (red, green and clear) for $225 USD plus shipping.
HD144 (Clear , clear, clear ) for $200 USD plus shipping.
HD144 (Clear , Green , Clear) for $215 USD plus shipping.

Basically, I have NO red HD144. Crying or Very sad

Dam, missed that. I got my 145's from HH for $229. delivered. Oh and BTW, spent yestereday testing focus on this 8500 with 145's and what a PITA! No one mentioned that Scheimphlug with these is a bitch. I actually wound up pulling them back off and shortening the springs by 1.5 loops. That helped as you weren't so close to fully compressed but it still wasn't much fun. On the green tube the lenses focuses almost at the bottom of the adjustment range, with very little left. I have the lense plates as close as they can go to tube face without bumping into the long 1/4" A bolts.
I still think this is a cost effective solution and it works, the focus was correct and much better than HD8's, Red and Green were obviously more saturated. Still, a solution to get the lenses even closer to tube face without bottoming out mounting plates would be helpful here.

There was an Ebay seller named Quad1100 who regularly sold HD-144's for $225. He said he had a pallet of new ones but he also said he was nearly out of them. Probably true as I have not seen his ads for over two months now. But you could give him a shot - you never know, he might simply tired of Ebay and stopped running auctions.

Hello all,

I had about 25 sets of NEW HD144 and HD145. Most were sold on AVS forum.

I have 3 complete sets of HD-145 (R, G, CLear) remaining. I also have incomplete sets of NEW HD145 (3 x R and 4 x G) and HD144 (1xR + 1 xG).

Demand is pretty high, I should be out stock by the end of the month. Price is 275$ USD per complete set, or 95$ per single lens.

Also if someone has a set of 3 clear lens, I'm offering a trade: I'll send R&G to get 2 more clear, so I'll have 2 more full sets, and you'll have a color corected set.

Hi guys -

I'm _this close_ to getting my mod done, except ... my "set" of HD144s consists of one red and two clears. So I'm looking to buy a green or trade a clear plus a few bucks for a green. Danny's got a green 145, but I'd prefer to have a set that matches, especially since the focal length of the 144 differs from the 145. If you have one, and would like to sell, please PM me. TIA - Pat

Opps, too late.
I have a few extra lenses as well. both 144 and 145. I keep some on both sides of the boarder in order to offer my customers cheaper shipping.

The clear will work for oyu if you want to go ahead and try it.

No problem, Barry. I do want to get up and running on the mod, now that the NCAA tourney is over and my friends will let me, but I should have the green in hand by next weekend, which is likely the soonest I can get to it anyway. Thanks - Pat

Well, tax returns are in and I have some $$ burning a hole in my pocket for a set of 145's (color filtered of course) but as is the story of my life, I think I missed the boat.
Anybody know where I can find a complete set so I can also give Mr Joust some money for the adapters? Laughing I hear he's starving so being the nice guy that I am I want to help out my fellow forum member in his time of need. Thumbs Up
Hammerhead doesn't have any complete sets of color filtered 145's (or didn't Monday when I called).

Greg
