Does anyone have one of these they could sell me? From what I can tell the
Box1020
Box1021
Box1040
are my three options. Maybe the RTC2200 but I think that is digital. The reason it needs to be analogue is that a digital one would introduce a small delay when processing the signal, I plan to use light gun games and lag/delay would stop the light gun from working.

Figured your other post is better here (I've removed the other):
Rikrok wrote: | I posted a message here a while ago saying I was looking for one of these:
Box1020
Box1021
Box1040
A month later I got a private message from the user Lacoste3738 saying:
"You must have missed the post of born2fizh that posted about analogue gamma boost Box1020 for sale some days ago.. I asked about it and he said it's still available with him.. Here's his email riebe8204@gmail.com"
The guy scammed me out of $70. It's my own fault, I never found the post from "born2fizh" and the name on the email (Terry Riebe) didn't match the name on the paypal account (Marcellah Nyariki), I guess I was just too excited about getting such an obscure item. I never expected scammers to be operating on such a niche site but it's a lesson to always be vigilant. |
I've now nuked user "Lacoste3738". For what it's worth if you search the userlist here for "born2fizh" there is no such user.
If you payed by PayPal, simply dispute it. You'll get your money back.
Sorry for your troubles!
Kal

African Scammers.
I get those PM's on the car forum I'm on too. They claim they have the item and you can email them outside the forum to get it.
Sorry you got stung.
In other news. Box 1020's are awesome toys. Their form is gone now but when they were new I did a bunch of testing using a Sony G520P 21" CRT monitor at 104Hz
I had a few write ups there.
I installed a few for other people too. Great stuff.
The RTC2200 was another good one. Too bad Kim ( the creator ) died before his time.
