This board was attached to the vertical board in my 909. Does anyone know what it actually does?

That's some kind of HDTV sync board. Not sure what it's supposed to do, or why they even bothered to make it. The only thing I can think of is it being designed for an awkward commercial HDTV standard that was used only in some commercial applications. They also had some similar design done on the Marquee vim, that was also sync related.

Totally useless for anything I know we use today, and maybe was a great way of beefing up the price of the 909 with it's expensive (almost useless) upgrade options. Some of the 909 sold for upwards to $65,000.00

There are only two boards that look like that one is the orbit board and the other as MP says is the HDTV board. If thats the HDTV board I believe it allows you to connect component video directly to the projector Question

What is the part number? if you can see one.

No, it says ORBIT beside the connector where you connect the orbit board Wink

Part number can be seen in the pic Keith, its on the sticker there.

There is also another small board in that set, its in with the tubes and connects to the neck boards. No idea what that does either.

R762268T is definitely HDTV board ( AKA tri-level sync board ).
Orbiting board has the same number but it ends with U instead of T. Had them both once in a BG808. Like Mike said, useless.
Not sure what the last picture is, Case. Can you read the part number on it ?

Connects to J960 on the mobo, the three connectors coming off say To G2, and connect to an extra socket on the neck boards.

Part is R764283-04. Reasonably complex circuitry.

That's a tough one, Case. I've never seen such a board. Funny thing is, there is no J960 on a regular BR909. Only till J951.
I guess the part number of the projector does not start with 904xxx. Barco has made a lot of oddball stuff to meet the customer and application needs. Could be a board for WARP geometry or AutoAlign system, mainly used for dome planetarium.

It came from a 6 projector blend as far as i know.

No IRIS installed, and it doesnt work with that controller either when i fit my own IRIS. I dont recall seeing that plug in my Cine 9 either.

I can't find any reference to that board anywhere. Its not even an option. You say it plugs into the neck boards. Any chance of a shot of the neck boards as I don't understand where the connector is.
