After 3 weeks of struggle with my Cine 9, its now going strong again.
At first it was assumed to be the controller board, swapping that with a spare from my 909 get the set running again, but with issues here and there.
First off i had a dead MOOME internal, which would take ages to sync.
Next the set would shut off back to standby on its own, it had done this a couple times before, but had now started doing it every time the set was on. Setting the FORCE SMPS ON jumper would keep the set on, but it would turn off the convergence, astig, and focus boards even though the image stayed.
Swapping in another controller board from my 909 seemed to fix the issue, but there was still problems, flashing lines, loss of sync, and random blank screens while still synced to the source, internal patterns displayed fine.
I swapped out the switcher card and RGB driver board today, and the set hasnt missed a beat since. It was either one of those.
I had swapped one at a time every other board in the set, with the exception of the LIMO PRO because i only have one.
After hours of testing today, i swapped out the tubes, neck boards, and all neck hardware with those from my 909, and the image is now loads sharper.
The tubes from the 909 had 22,000 hours on them, however they are wear free, and even with the clear C elements the image is still better. The blue that came with my Cine 9 had issues, the red was never super sharp, and the green had areas that i could never get focused, which i thought was the focus board, and seems now as though it was the tube.
It is now so sharp i can see scanlines at 1920x1080 60Hz from the lounge, even in the corners. I will be mounting up a set of sim grade P19s to my other housings in the next few weeks, and redo the full setup again.
The image was good months ago when i spent a while on it, but now its even better.

Nice work Case.
Good thing you will probably never have to do it again because the Barco's run so reliably

Yep, original controller is back in and hasnt missed a beat. It seemed strange that the 909 controller didnt have the same issue, but the software is different, so that is probably why.

Haha!! Well that remains to be seen!
It had been mostly very reliable in the past two years, apart from two quads and the ocational switch to standby after the warmup screen, which turning the set straight back on always fixed before, the rest of the issues seem to have all been directly related to the switcher or RGB driver.
Then again, my 9PG never missed a beat in 5 years, and my XG also never has had anything fail...
