Dear all,

I got my Barco Graphics 808 @ 808s LC finally working.

I'm looking for possible improvement on bandwidth of this little beast, before installing it.

I've seen the great Eisemann's mod package, but unfortunately it's out of budget for me.
Mike Parker's mods looks also interesting, but also out of budget (and, actually, ordering are disabled).
Having to send cards from Italy adds economical difficulties because of customs costs.

Read about Ile's ABL removal mods here, but I havent found any PDF attachment that describe the mod.
The pdf is no more available on the original link
I've got no streaking, but I've read that this mod could help in bandwidth...

Found reference on Mike Parker mods, but the thread seems to be removed:

Read that some EL caps replace could help..

It seems that all detailed information about these mods are lost or are very dispersive Crying or Very sad

Would it's possible to have a recap of what "open source" modifications can be done on a 808/808s to get it run at maximum performance?

One thing I want to do very soon is get the new Moome HDMI 1.4 for barco.
Now I drive the 808 through a Crystalio II VPS-3800

Here the detailed part list I've used to build it up:

Code:

R762503  - Electromagnetic Focus + Horizontal shift
R7622675 - Horizontal deflection
R7622686 - Sync & Vertical deflection
R7621055 - Port 3 2nd RGB Analog Input 808s
R762719  - RGB Analog Input
R762720  - RGB Driver
R7621705 - SMPS
R762506  - G2 + Diagnostic

R7625115 - Controller Board (7.61 firmware version)
R762722  - IRIS2 Controller Board

R762724  - IRIS Camera
R762514  - Dynamic Astigmatism
R762518  - Convergence Driver
R762519  - Convergence Output

R762746  - RGB Output/ABL + CRT Neck Board
"1078126"  Deflection and Focus yoke

P16 LC tube mounts from barco retro
P16LNP raw tubes
Sony HD18 lenses + C-elements

I have also these spare parts, eventually usable for mod tests:
Code:

R762503  - Electromagnetic Focus + Horizontal shift
R762518  - Convergence Driver
R762513  - Convergence Output
R762514  - Convergence Output
R762519  - Convergence Output
R7622685 - Sync & Vertical deflection
R7617481 - RGB Analog Input
R7621745 - RGB Driver
R762506  - G2 + Diagnostic
R7621735 - 75MHz RGB Output form the original 808

...and, I think, other scattered parts in the garage Very Happy

Thanks in advance.

Bye,
Edoardo[/b]
