So I just landed back in Denver (Boulder to be exact), and my new job has a pretty cool Xerox 560 printer. Alongside, after cleaning the server room for three weeks, I found an ES-1000 spectrometer that is used to calibrate the printer. Digging a little more, it looks like a rebranded X-rite Eye One Pro (looks exactly like the one pictured right next to a Pro 2 in the "which meter is right for me" thread).
So a few questions; I assume I can use this in conjunction with ChromaPure or other software package to calibrate my brand new 60" plasma? And an even bigger question, how/where can I get the meter itself calibrated? It's been sitting in a box for at least a couple years. Does time take its toll on color meters?
Thanks in advance!

I believe there is a thread about X-rite clones over at AVS. I haven't read the thread in ages, but there was a lot of info in said thread.
